Educational therapy is a form of therapy used to support individuals with learning differences, disabilities, and challenges. This form of therapy offers a wide range of intensive interventions that are designed to remediate learning problems. These interventions are individualized and unique to the specific learner.
What is Educational Therapy?
Educational Therapy Program
Our program is a specialized program that assists children with learning difficulties, including difficulties in reading, writing, or mathematics. In some cases a child cannot read and write when they have reached the appropriate age for it. This is caused by defects in parts of the brain that are responsible for these areas. One of the common symptoms of learning difficulties is seeing the words and letters flipped or mirrored (also known as Dyslexia). We at SSC for Special Needs, know that each child is different from the other, and that is why we create a different program for each individual.
Educational therapy deals with processing of information as well as academics. The educational therapist uses a variety of methodologies and teaching materials to help the student reach academic success.
This type of therapy helps the student strengthen the ability to learn. The student engages in activities that help academics as well as teach processing, focusing, and memory skills.
Students that benefit from this kind of therapy also include students with attention deficiency and hyperactivity disorders, aspergers syndrome, language processing disorders, visual processing disorder, poor social skills, school anxiety etc.
